job_description.job_card.job_descriptionPrior accounting experience, preferably Cost Accounting. Ability to think critically and logically. Demonstrated pattern of initiative and dedication. Excellent pattern of attendance reliability. Well-developed organizational and time management skills. Well-developed written and interpersonal skills. Proficient with use of computers, including Microsoft Office (Excel, email, etc) Experience working in a food manufacturing or related environment. Experience with QAD, or other related Cost Accounting system. Experience with perpetual inventory systems. Experience with Oracle Financials, or other ERP related system. A degree in accounting or finance.
Cost Accounting Manager
Responsible for managing certain day-to-day Cost Accounting tasks, including but not limited to :
- Daily production review, analysis, entry, and reconciliation (including investigating variances)
- Daily review of costing and inventory exception reports.
- Manage weekly and quarterly cycle counting procedures with adherence to company policies.
- Creating and distributing accounting reports as necessary.
- Updating / Maintaining BOM's for existing items.
- Complete period close (monthly) tasks, including analyzing data, writing journal entries, and accounting reports / scorecards.
- Assists in the other duties as directed by their supervisor as the incumbent builds on their experiences.
