Summary :
The RN provides patient-centered care for acutely ill or injured patients of all ages using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation). The role requires critical thinking, teamwork, effective communication, and adherence to Texas Board of Nursing standards to ensure high-quality care and patient satisfaction.

Requirements :
Current Texas RN license (or compact license valid in Texas)BLS, ACLS, and PALS certificationsMinimum 2 years ED nursing experienceExcellent interpersonal and organizational skillsKey Responsibilities :
Deliver holistic, compassionate care addressing clinical and emotional needsTriage and prioritize patients based on acuityCollaborate with healthcare team; ensure delegated tasks are completed accuratelyAdhere to hospital policies, regulatory guidelines, and lab safety proceduresProvide basic respiratory care, monitor patients, and document care accuratelyFacilitate transfers and discharges; participate in staff development and professional growthMaintain composure under stress and adapt to workplace changesSkills & Knowledge :
Knowledge of federal and state nursing regulations and emergency care standardsStrong time management, prioritization, and critical thinking skillsPhysical Requirements :
