As a Senior Tax Advisor, you will work closely with the BWFA tax team to deliver comprehensive tax planning to our clients. This role involves preparing and reviewing individual tax returns and supporting clients with year-round tax guidance. You will also assist in client meetings, collaborate across departments, and contribute to the development of customized tax strategies aligned with clients' financial goals.
Responsibilities
- Work with the tax department to prepare and review tax returns.
- Provide timely, high-quality customer service to all clients.
- Recognize and identify opportunities to increase the level and types of services to clients.
- Handle complex client tax questions and work with clients to collect necessary information for tax return completion and compliance.
- Meet with clients to provide comprehensive tax advice, aligning their BWFA financial plan and investment strategy.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related subject matter7+ years of experience in similar tax role, background in public accounting preferredTax forms : 1040, 1041, 1065, 1120, 706, payroll tax forms, and the Maryland Personal Property Tax ReturnKnowledge of CCH ProSystem Access, BNA Income Tax PlannerProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as you will have significant contact with the clients of the firm.Ideal team members for our office culture will have a strong work ethic, be self-motivated and have collaborative interpersonal skills.This position offers a competitive salary within a predetermined range consistent with our internal compensation guidelines.
