Location : Rockford, IL

Starting Pay : Competitive, based on experience

Schedule : Monday through Friday, 6 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM, with overtime as needed

Status : Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Key Responsibilities

As a Production Lead , you will oversee the daily operations of the production team, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely. The team focuses on assembling hydraulic hoses and production kits, including cutting, crimping, and packaging. You will also collaborate with the Production Supervisor and Branch Manager to meet production goals, maintain quality standards, and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Supervise and organize daily production activities to meet deadlines.
  • Train team members on proper procedures, safety practices, and quality standards.
  • Monitor production capacity and workforce activities, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) .
  • Address quality issues and take corrective actions to reduce non-conformances.
  • Assist with production tasks such as cutting hoses, attaching fittings, and packaging products for shipment.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by entering data into workplace systems.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and employee empowerment.
  • Ensure timely delivery by identifying and addressing production delays.
  • Participate in safety practices and enforce compliance with company policies.

    • Skills & Qualifications

    Required :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 30 pounds using proper techniques.
  • Proficiency with basic math and the use of tools like tape measures and calipers.
  • Prior experience with Microsoft Word; ability to type 25+ words per minute.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

    • Preferred :

  • Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with quality control standards.
  • Familiarity with fluid power systems or hydraulic components.
