We are seeking an experienced HVAC Facility Maintenance Lead Technician for a full-time role in the North Austin area . This position requires strong hands-on experience in HVAC maintenance, electrical, plumbing, and general facility repair. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership ability to guide a local and mobile maintenance team while ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality operations across multiple building systems.
A valid Texas HVAC License and clean driving record are required. A company vehicle will be ordered upon start; until then, mileage reimbursement will be provided for use of a personal vehicle.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, CRAC units, and related mechanical components.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Monitor and maintain Building Management Systems (BMS) and Fire / Life / Safety systems.
- Conduct general building repairs (doors, hardware, furniture, fixtures, etc.).
- Oversee and coordinate subcontractor activities and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and clients to prioritize work, schedule repairs, and resolve issues promptly.
- Document work orders, PMs, and repairs using computerized maintenance management systems.
Requirements
Valid Texas HVAC License (must have).EPA certification required.Minimum 8 years of related maintenance experience (HVAC, electrical, and building systems).Proven leadership / supervisory experience managing technical staff.Valid driver’s license with a clean MVR.Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills across multiple systems.Knowledge of UPS, emergency generators, and FM extinguishing systems.Basic computer proficiency (email, scheduling, work order tracking).Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing schedules.Must be able to speak and understand English clearly.Preferred Skills
Bilingual (English / Spanish) a plus.Air-cooled water chiller experience a plus.Experience in customer-facing maintenance roles.Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED preferred (not required).Must pass background check, MVR review, and drug screening.Must maintain neat, professional appearance and demonstrate strong customer service ethic.Benefits & Perks

Pay Rate : $30–$35 / hr + (DOE)
Schedule : Full-time, Monday–Friday 7 : 30 AM–4 : 00 PM. Must be available for overtime, weekends as needed, and on-call response during snow or ice events.
