Responsibilities Position is in the ICU of an acute care hospital with Magnet status Day shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts, 6 : 45 am to 7 : 15 pm Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 2 Weekend shifts required every third weekend and every other holiday Floating required within IMCU and ICU as well as to a nearby affiliate hospital for support as needed Will assist with line insertion, intubation, hypothermia protocols, CRRT / CVVHD, and intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) Utilizes EPIC for charting; EPIC experience is required Navy scrubs are required Duties include advanced ICU nursing tasks, participation in procedures, and supporting hypothermia protocols Must be prepared to float within the ICU / IMCU service line between sites as needed Holiday rotation required; coverage for every other holiday expected No local candidates will be considered within a 75-mile radius Maximum of 7 days requested time off (RTO) permitted for each 13-week contract; no RTO in the first week Permanent former employees must wait 1 year before returning as travelers Pre-employment modules and fit testing are required prior to start, with fit testing requiring proper facial hair for mask seal Free onsite parking is available Requirements Active IL RN license required at time of consideration BCLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications are required Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience required Recent experience with CRRT, CVVHD, and IABP procedures required EPIC charting experience is required Must reside outside of a 75-mile radius from the facility First-time travelers are not accepted Pending licenses are not accepted for this position Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-621154.
