Clinical Nurse Educator
Position Summary
Responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, integrating, providing and evaluating the education, training and development of hospital employees within Surgical Services and as needed for affiliate personnel and physicians. Supports the mission, vision, goals and objectives of the organization through the integration of education and training with the purpose of ensuring quality health care. Maintains open communications and is available to component organizations and practitioner sites for consultation.
Education
Bachelors in Nursing - Required
Masters in Nursing - Preferred
Experience
2-3 Years Clinical Role Within Department(s) of Surgical Services - Required
Clinical nursing experience in a department that prepares, performs, or recovers patients having invasive procedures. Example departments include but are not limited to are Day Surgery, Outpatient Surgery, Surgery Center, Operating Room, Endoscopy, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) / Phase I Recovery, and Phase II Outpatient Surgical Recovery. Leadership experience preferred. Preceptor experience required.
License & Certification
Professional License with State of Practice - Required
National Certification - Preferred at time of hire; Required within 2 years of hire.
