job_description.job_card.job_descriptionTo provide high-quality small group art classes to students of all ages, specifically children Plan / organize curriculum for art workshops (1 day) and small group classes (2-10 students); also interest in planning / facilitating art camps during the weekdays in the summer months Potentially offer one-on-one sessions for interested students Interested in teachers who have experience with organizing and teaching classes and working well with small groups of children and adults. Teaching experience and / or university study is preferred. Teacher training and knowledge / experience with other art education programs welcomed. Demonstrates communication skills; ability to handle challenging situations calmly & professionally. Proven success working with students of varying age & experience levels Ability to collaborate with other private lesson faculty & staff Organized, independent & able to take direction Positive, motivated, flexible & easy-going disposition Dependable and consistent with appointments and student classes Preferred availability : position open immediately Salary / compensation varies according to degree and teaching experience Schedule varies by teacher and workload; requesting at least 1 day (Saturdays) with potential expansion to more hours if desired. Lessons are offered year-round and take place on Saturday mornings / afternoons during the school year, and during the weekdays in the summer months. The Fox River Academy of Music and Art is a community music and art education school, located in Oswego, Illinois (near Yorkville, Montgomery, Plainfield, Aurora, and Naperville).
Since 2003, we have encouraged arts appreciation through experience in private and group study, performance participation in community events, art exhibits and workshops, and free local concert attendance. Students from preschool through senior age are welcome; programs are available for beginners to advanced levels of study.
OUR VISION STATEMENT : To offer an exceptional educational experience for each student, provided by highly qualified instructors in a comfortable setting. Our classes are designed to create a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages students to reach or exceed their personal expectations and goals.
