Position : AVP & Commercial / Agricultural Lender S t atus : Full-Time; Exempt

Summary of Job Responsibilities :
Solicit for loan, deposit, and financial services business. Originate and maintain commercial / agricultural loan relationships.
Manages own credit portfolio with primary accounts averaging greater than $250K. Provides credit analysis, approval, and monitoring for new and existing customers. Monitors incoming financial statements for covenant requirements. Perform collateral audits, accounts receivable analysis, and borrowing base certificate reviews. Sell products to new and existing customers with the goal of generating fee income. Teams with other senior commercial bankers, assisting with relationship management, ongoing customer communication, and active cross selling of related products and services. Performs all job responsibilities according to compliance and audit requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Contact prospects and customers for new business.
- Interview loan applicants.
- Analyze credit worthiness.
- Establish structure of loans within framework of loan policy and extend loans up to approved lending authority per loan policy.
- Ensure documentation is completed and accurate.
- Monitor loans in repayment.
- Collect loans in default.
- Refer larger loan requests for approval or denial as per loan policy.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skill / Knowledge Requirement :
Qualifications :
Education and / or Experience : Bachelor's degree (BA); and five plus years of experience in agriculture field and / or commercial lending experience. Specific, formal credit training which includes the ability to analyze complex balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements and the appropriate ratios for each.
