We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Equipment Calibration & Preventive Maintenance Technician / Coordinator to manage the calibration and upkeep of critical production and test equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring equipment is maintained in compliance with ISO 17025 standards , supporting quality assurance, audit readiness, and operational continuity in a high-tech, aerospace / defense environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Coordinate, schedule, and perform equipment calibration , verification, and preventive maintenance activities across all departments.
- Ensure all calibration procedures align with ISO / IEC 17025 standards and internal quality system requirements.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of calibration certificates, preventive maintenance logs, and equipment status records.
- Manage relationships with external calibration vendors; coordinate off-site / onsite calibrations and review certificates for compliance.
- Track equipment due dates using internal systems (e.g., calibration management software or spreadsheets) and notify relevant stakeholders of upcoming requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing calibration and maintenance records as needed.
- Identify and escalate equipment that is out of tolerance or requires repair; work closely with engineering, production, RMA, and quality teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the development or improvement of calibration procedures and PM schedules for new or legacy equipment.
- Conduct light troubleshooting and basic repair of equipment when necessary. Coordinate repair of equipment with supplies.
Qualifications :
2+ years of experience in equipment calibration and / or preventive maintenance in a regulated manufacturing, aerospace, or defense environment.Working knowledge of ISO / IEC 17025 calibration requirements.Familiarity with equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, DMMs, environmental chambers, pressure gauges, etc.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word); experience with calibration tracking software a plus.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, calibration certificates, and schematics.Excellent communication and coordination skills for working across departments and with vendors.High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in electronics, metrology, or a related field preferred.Benefits :Competitive Pay, Health, Dental, Vision, 401K, Vacation
