Cogent is currently seeking an Order Coordinator . The ideal candidate will have an associate’s degree (minimum) along with previous experience in a customer service / order coordination / scheduling position. Typical duties of an Order Coordinator include :

  • Reviews orders for accuracy and completion. Clarifies invalid and unclear order requirements with sales staff
  • Enters all sales orders from Application Engineers into our ERP system
  • Places orders with vendors to purchase customer orders
  • Computes prices, shipping costs and any appropriate discounts
  • Handles inbound calls from customers, vendors and sales personnel
  • Provides sales quotes for parts to customers from vendor provided resources
  • Determines appropriate timing of orders to ensure timely delivery and cost savings
  • Verifies and updates customer information
  • Checks customer account for credit and outstanding payments
  • Informs customer and / or salesmen of shipping date and any possible delays
  • Accurately prepares invoices in our billing system
  • Electronically files copies of all orders received
  • Adheres to productivity standards to ensure all orders are handled in a timely and efficient manner
  • Customer Service is KEY; you will have contact with customers on a daily basis
  • Qualified candidates will have the following knowledge, skills and abilities :

  • Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel and Google Drive and Gmail
  • Fast paced self-motivator who promotes teamwork among co-workers
  • Ability to multi-task such as simultaneously using telephone and computer skills
  • Must have a general knowledge of basic mathematical computations
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while typing and reading on the computer
  • Experience using Epicor Prophet 21 or similar ERP software programs preferred
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM preferred
