Cogent is currently seeking an Order Coordinator . The ideal candidate will have an associate’s degree (minimum) along with previous experience in a customer service / order coordination / scheduling position. Typical duties of an Order Coordinator include :
Reviews orders for accuracy and completion. Clarifies invalid and unclear order requirements with sales staffEnters all sales orders from Application Engineers into our ERP systemPlaces orders with vendors to purchase customer ordersComputes prices, shipping costs and any appropriate discountsHandles inbound calls from customers, vendors and sales personnelProvides sales quotes for parts to customers from vendor provided resourcesDetermines appropriate timing of orders to ensure timely delivery and cost savingsVerifies and updates customer informationChecks customer account for credit and outstanding paymentsInforms customer and / or salesmen of shipping date and any possible delaysAccurately prepares invoices in our billing systemElectronically files copies of all orders receivedAdheres to productivity standards to ensure all orders are handled in a timely and efficient mannerCustomer Service is KEY; you will have contact with customers on a daily basisQualified candidates will have the following knowledge, skills and abilities :
Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel and Google Drive and GmailFast paced self-motivator who promotes teamwork among co-workersAbility to multi-task such as simultaneously using telephone and computer skillsMust have a general knowledge of basic mathematical computationsAbility to sit for extended periods while typing and reading on the computerExperience using Epicor Prophet 21 or similar ERP software programs preferredExperience using Salesforce or similar CRM preferredWhy Work With Us?
