Sports Book Manager
Job Summary
Responsible for effectively managing the operations of our sports book and fostering a high-performing, welcoming environment that is focused on customer service and compliance. Maintain a consistent brand image in the Sportsbook in line with company guidelines and ensure that the Sportsbook is presented to the highest possible standard at all times.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Effectively assist and manage the day-to-day activities and business levels of the sports book : hiring, scheduling, training, and mentoring staff, and fostering an environment focused on high performance, compliance, and excellent customer service
Act as an ambassador for the property to help promote sports wagering via our kiosks and mobile platforms
Interact daily with senior leadership of our casino partner to serve as a brand ambassador to both sports book and casino patrons alike
Manage all aspects of our sports betting equipment
Generate opportunities to maximize handle, profitability, and promotion of the Brand
Ensure all customers are made to feel welcome by all team members
Ensure betting control guidelines are adhered to within the sports book
Plan and execute an effective staffing model, keeping in line with an approved budget
Resolve bet queries within agreed levels of authority and in a timely manner
Manage all accountable costs, with particular emphasis on use of establishment hours within the Sportsbook
Ensure all training is properly delivered within the agreed timescales and that all members of the team are fully supported so that they fulfil their potential
Communicate key business information to the team and drives constant improvement

Delivery of the Operations objectives within a Sportsbook, evidence to support implementation of agreed actions from the quarterly business reviews, actively seeks to be better than the competition, manages and raises team awareness of regulatory standards and requirements, ensures team focus in exceeding sales targets and maximizes profitability, monitors customers betting activity to identify possible profitable / non profitable business, manages the delivery of required Sportsbook trading and merchandising standards & ensure management of controllable costs, manages the in shop coaching and development of all Sportsbook staff to maximize the potential of every member of the team.
Guest Service (Internal / External) Standards : Employee is required to meet and deliver our core values, service standards, and family style service.
Performance Requirements : Must have the ability to provide internal / external guests with service excellence, have excellent communication skills and observation skills, and have an easygoing demeanor to ensure a fun and safe environment for our guests. Above average speech both speaking and reading / writing English. Need excellent interpersonal skills. Work requires schedule flexibility which may include days off, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
