SR AWS System Engineer (Evanston)

Title : AWS Cloud Systems Engineer.

Location : Hybrid - Chicago suburbs

Duration : Contract 6 Months+

Lead modernization of AWS environment, Role combines technical expertise in AWS Architecture, Identity & Access Management, Cloud Security and Automation. Responsible to assess current AWS env, align it to AWS best practices while supporting workload migrations from Azure to AWS and datacenters.

Required Skills

Proficient in AWS Core services (EC2 , S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS / EKS, VPC)

Strong understanding of IAM, AWS Orgs and Multi-account governance.

Skilled in Cloud Security, Monitoring and Cost Optimization.

Proficient with Infrastructure as a code. (Teraform, Cloud Formation)

Experience with Automation, DevOps practices and CICD pipelines.

Experience in troubleshooting cloud workloads.

Ability to lead projects independently, take ownership and provide direction.

Required : Bachelors Degree.

8-10 years in supporting Enterprise AWS env.

Exp in Cloud workload Migrations (from AWS to Azure)

Hands on experience with container orchestration (EKS / AKS) and serverless architecture is preferred.

AWS Solutions Architect-Professional or DevOps Engineer Certification is strongly preferred.
