Are you currently in law school, or have you just graduated from law school and would like to gain additional experience? Hooks Meng & Clement (HMC) is looking for a committed Law Clerk to join our growing Northern Nevada office in Carson City.

We specialize in Workers’ Compensation Insurance Defense, OSHA Employer Representation, and Industrial Insurance Litigation, serving a diverse clientele that includes employers, insurers, and third-party administrators.

The Law Clerk position offers a valuable opportunity for individuals who are interested in pursuing a career as a licensed attorney. The role provides hands-on experience and helps build a strong foundation of knowledge and skills.

Compensation : $60,000+ annually

Responsibilities :

• Legal Research : Conduct research on various legal topics and provide summaries of findings to support the firm's attorneys.
• Assist with the preparation of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
• Support case management tasks, such as scheduling court appearances, preparing case summaries, and organizing case files.
• Communication : Communicate effectively with clients, court staff, as directed by the firm's attorneys.
• Daily use of the electronic billing program, Clio, as well as the case management system, Filevine.
