Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2 years of adult and nuclear cardiology experience and current CNMT or NMTCB certification for a day shift assignment.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a short-term acute care hospital within the nuclear medicine department
  • Adult and nuclear cardiology patient population
  • Duties include gastric emptying, HIUDA Scan, Muga Scan, 3 Phase, whole body bone scan, liver imaging, perfusion, ventilation / perfusion, exercise / rest-multiple, pharmacological stress, and isolation precautions
  • Start and maintain peripheral IVs and handle radioactive materials
  • Day shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts from 5 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM and a consistent weekly day off
  • Floating required within the hospital and to affiliated hospitals as needed
  • No weekend shifts required; on-call requirements to be discussed
  • Uses Cerner for charting and documentation
  • Candidates must be willing and able to multitask and work collaboratively as part of a team
  • All candidates will be required to float between units and to nearby affiliated hospitals as necessary
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the assignment
  • Local candidates are accepted
  • Free parking is provided
  • Any permanent or PRN employees must have a 12-month separation before returning as a traveler
  • Dress code is professional nuclear medicine attire as per hospital policy
  • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Minimum 2 years recent experience in adult and nuclear cardiology settings required
  • Active IN state license, CNMT or NMTCB certification, and BLS required and must be in hand at submission
  • Graduation from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNE
  • Must be able to start and maintain peripheral IVs and safely store, handle, and dispose of radioactive materials
  • Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
  • AHA or RQI BLS certifications accepted
  • License required if applicable
