American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with 2 years of adult and nuclear cardiology experience and current CNMT or NMTCB certification for a day shift assignment.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a short-term acute care hospital within the nuclear medicine departmentAdult and nuclear cardiology patient populationDuties include gastric emptying, HIUDA Scan, Muga Scan, 3 Phase, whole body bone scan, liver imaging, perfusion, ventilation / perfusion, exercise / rest-multiple, pharmacological stress, and isolation precautionsStart and maintain peripheral IVs and handle radioactive materialsDay shift schedule with 4x10 hour shifts from 5 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM and a consistent weekly day offFloating required within the hospital and to affiliated hospitals as neededNo weekend shifts required; on-call requirements to be discussedUses Cerner for charting and documentationCandidates must be willing and able to multitask and work collaboratively as part of a teamAll candidates will be required to float between units and to nearby affiliated hospitals as necessaryFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyMust work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the assignmentLocal candidates are acceptedFree parking is providedAny permanent or PRN employees must have a 12-month separation before returning as a travelerDress code is professional nuclear medicine attire as per hospital policy\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum 2 years recent experience in adult and nuclear cardiology settings requiredActive IN state license, CNMT or NMTCB certification, and BLS required and must be in hand at submissionGraduation from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNEMust be able to start and maintain peripheral IVs and safely store, handle, and dispose of radioactive materialsExperience with Cerner EMR preferredAHA or RQI BLS certifications acceptedLicense required if applicable\n Benefits\n
