Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse
Unit : Emergency Department (ED)
Start Date : November 17, 2025
End Date : March 8, 2026
Duration : 16 weeks (option to extend up to 32 weeks)
Shift : 12-hour rotating shifts (Days / Nights)
Hours per Week : 36
Schedule : Flexible; every other weekend required; must work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)
Estimated Weekly Salary : $2200–$2360 per week
On-Site Position
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Vermont or compact state)
Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
Experience in large (500+ bed), teaching hospital settings required
EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years (required)
Prior travel nursing experience preferred (may be waived for candidates with large teaching facility and multiple ER experience)
Certifications : AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, AHA PALS, NIH Stroke Scale, TNCC (proof required prior to start)
Preferred : CEN, ENPC, MOAB, ProAct, or de-escalation training
Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (public transportation not accessible)
Vehicles must have all-season or snow tires November–April
All employment gaps over 90 days must be explained
ER Nurse Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care in a busy Emergency Department
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
Utilize EPIC EMR for accurate and timely clinical documentation
Respond to medical emergencies and deliver advanced life support as needed
Demonstrate flexibility with scheduling, including weekends and holidays
Participate in orientation and ongoing professional development for travel nurses
Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
