Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Care for a travel nursing job in Fairview, Pennsylvania.

Position : RN

Facility Type : LTC / SNF (Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing)

Shift : 8-hour nights, 10 : 45 PM – 7 : 00 AM, every other weekend

Guaranteed Hours : 38 / week

Contract Length : 15 weeks

Facility Details

  • Total Beds : 300 across 6 units

    • A : 47 beds

  • C : 50 beds (COVID unit, currently closed)
  • G : 59 beds
  • H : 40 beds (secure dementia unit)
  • J : 59 beds
  • K : 45 beds
  • EMR : PCC
  • Staffing :

    • Nights – 1 RN Supervisor + 1 floor nurse (RN or LPN) per unit

  • Currently 5 / 6 units staffed; if 6 are open, one nurse covers both J & K
  • Support Services : PT, OT, SLP, Case Managers, Social Workers, Dieticians
  • No RT onsite 24 / 7 ; oxygen therapy, CPAP, BiPap, trach care supported
  • Pharmacy : Onsite M–F, pill bottles used (no med dispensing system)

    • Responsibilities

  • Building supervisor during evenings, nights, weekends
  • Oversee RN’s, LPN’s, CNA’s
  • Not in staffing grid (not assigned to direct resident care)
  • Handle resident change of condition, contact MD / NP, schedule outside services (lab, x-ray, etc.)
  • Central line care, chest tube care, IV starts, admission orders, fall assessments (RN only tasks)
  • Wound measuring (NP stages weekly)
  • Participate in care plan meetings as needed

    • Requirements

  • Certifications : BLS
  • Experience :

    • Prior PCC experience

  • Wound measuring
  • IVs : Lasix, Bumex, antibiotics (no titratable drips)
  • Telemetry : None
  • Scrubs : Any professional color except camo

    • Scheduling & Policies

  • Shift Length : 8.25 hours (includes 30-min unpaid lunch)
  • Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend
  • Holiday Requirement : Yes, if scheduled shift falls on holiday
  • Call / Standby : None
  • Floating : Not required
  • Orientation : 3 days
