Must-Have : Level 1 trauma experience; must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance; candidates must demonstrate competency in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes during skills assessment.
Description :
The position is within an adult intensive care unit.
Candidates must have experience in a 600+ bed teaching facility.
RNs are required to read and interpret their own telemetry strips.
Float requirements will include all ICU areas and any MedSurg / Tele units.
Travelers will be expected to work 3 weekend shifts every 4 weeks and 2 out of 4 major holidays.
The unit manages a variety of complex cases including sepsis, GI bleeds, DKA, and trauma patients.
Patient population may include post-operative care for lung, liver, or kidney transplant patients and those with severe injuries.
The position requires the use of various respiratory therapy equipment, such as vents and BiPap.
All education requirements and skills assessments will be provided, focusing on sterile field maintenance and bedside procedures.

RNs will be part of a collaborative team with intensivists present 24 / 7.
Self-scheduling is available with a schedule management system in place.
The expected dress code is navy scrubs.
