A leading AmLaw 50 firm is seeking a seasoned Of Counsel Attorney to join its Fintech & Financial Services Practice Group . This role offers the opportunity to advise technology-driven and early-stage companies on complex regulatory and transactional matters involving federal securities laws and financial services regulation.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction , in good standing
- 8+ years of substantive experience in financial services regulatory or fintech-related practice areas
- Strong knowledge of federal securities laws , including Investment Company Act status issues and related opinions
- Experience advising on broker-dealer and investment adviser registration , compliance , and status issues
- Familiarity with structuring and establishing alternative investment platforms
- SEC or other regulatory agency experience strongly preferred
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities
Advise clients on a wide range of securities law and financial regulatory issuesCounsel technology and early-stage companies on compliance and operational structuringProvide guidance on broker-dealer and investment adviser registration and ongoing compliance obligationsEvaluate Investment Company Act and Investment Advisers Act implications for fintech and investment platformsDraft legal opinions , policies , and governance materials related to securities and financial services mattersCollaborate with colleagues across practice areas to deliver comprehensive client solutionsWhy Join Us?
