MEDIA ARTS / VIDEO PRODUCTION INSTRUCTORS - CABIN COUNSELORS

Camp Lohikan is a coed resident summer camp located in northeast Pennsylvania. Our campers range in age from 6 to 15. We operate 65+ activities on a daily basis and our facilities are extensive.

SUMMER SEASON : June 22 through August 22. Part Season (4 weeks) employment opportunities are also available. Internships available. PRE and POST CAMP WORK AVAILABLE (Pre-Camp : May 1-June 22. Post-Camp : August 29 - Sept. 30+). Additional employment is available before and after the summer camp season. Applications for year-round internships are accepted. Responsibilities and Program Information

Our Adventure Program and Media Arts Program are core components of the camp experience. We hire staff who are strong role models, put kids first, and demonstrate high moral character and a strong work ethic. Staff responsibilities include coaching and mentoring campers, delivering instruction in assigned activities, and providing warm, mature guidance to children. Some positions require training or certifications to operate activities safely.

Camp Lohikan and its related camps offer a wide range of activities and opportunities for staff to teach, lead, and supervise campers in a safe, positive environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Applicants must have completed at least one year of college.
• College enrolled staff members are housed in cabins with campers and assume counseling and instructional responsibilities during the program day.
• Applicants must have high moral character and a strong work ethic; working in camp and counseling children is hard work.
• Staff members should be excellent role models for campers. Previous experience working with children is preferred; the capacity to provide warm, mature guidance is most important.
• Camp Lohikan is a non-smoking (no vaping) camp.
• Certification may be required for some specialty positions. Staff applying for instructor positions should have extensive personal experience in the activity, demonstrated expertise, and ideally teaching experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants must pass pre-offer and post-offer screening processes including reference checks, criminal background checks, sex-offender registry check, and other checks deemed appropriate.
