Maintenance Crew Member
Job Summary :
The Maintenance Crew Member is an entry level position. This individual is responsible for ensuring that the facility is clean and in good operating condition. The Maintenance Crew Member typically works under the supervision of the skilled Maintenance Lead and Building Services Director but will also be responsible for completing some tasks on their own.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities :
Performs the following duties listed and others as required to improve the maintenance of the nursing facility. This list does not include all duties required but is to serve as a basis of expectations. Duties and responsibilities may be added or modified at any time.
Working Conditions :
Nursing home setting.
When required sometimes in confined spaces and at heights from a ladder. Dirt and dust are common in mechanical rooms requiring a mask at times. Working around machinery and electricity are potential hazards.
Qualifications :
Must have a genuine interest in maintaining the facility to assure good quality of life for our residents. Outgoing and positive attitude. Ability to comprehend instructions, organize time and complete tasks with minimal supervision. Ability to adapt to frequent changes in routine. Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
Experience : One year of related experience is preferred but not required.
Education : High school graduate or equivalent. Must have a valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements : Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. Prolonged standing or walking. Walks, bends, lifts, carries, climbs stairs, pushes and pulls various equipment throughout the work day.
