Summary

Paints parts to meet customer and internal quality requirements by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This position can execute the following job functions under the supervision of a Class A Painter :

• Properly mask, cover and protect all surfaces that will not be painted.
• Understand and recognize proper substrate preparation.
• Abide by all safety rules and requirements.
• Pre-clean and rinse parts before media blasting.
• Apply primers by airless spray to meet the established quality standards and requirements.
• Perform media blasting to meet the established quality standards.
• Apply stripe coats of primer to appropriate locations to meet the established quality standards and requirements.
• Correct non-compliant work when it is observed and perform corrective measures to bring the work back into compliance.
• Maintain and clean all spray equipment to keep it in order.
• Understand and execute the proper mixing and thinning of all primers and topcoats.
• Understand and abide by all quality control hold points.
• Cleans and organizes work area.

Education and / or Experience

High School Diploma or GED; 3-5 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
