About The Position

Experience : One year of Cardiac Catheterization Lab experience, preferred.
License : Surgical Assistant License or Surgical Technologist Certification, required for specific locations.
Certifications : BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through CCI; or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES); or RRT with post-primary certification of Cardiac Interventional Radiography through ARRT.

Description :
Effectively assist physicians in performing a variety of highly specialized cardiovascular procedures.
Procedures include diagnostic and interventional catheterization, pacemaker / defibrillator implantation, intra-aortic balloon pump operation, and electrophysiology studies.
Effectively assist physicians in performing cardiovascular procedures.
Evaluate and document patient status and respond appropriately.
Intervene or refer in a timely manner to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Demonstrate clinical expertise, competence, and proficiency based on knowledge and skills.
