It is one of only 40 hospitals nationwide to have achieved A grades for patient safety and patient outcomes since Leapfrog s inception in 2012- The Department of Anesthesiology is comprised of approximately 50 Physicians, 36 Anesthesia Residents and 20 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists, as well as Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants, an Administrative Director, and a compliment of technicians and administrative support staff- The Department performs approximately 25k cases per year- It serves the hospital and its patients as a unified group of highly skilled professionals providing state-of-the-art anesthesia, pain management, and related services both in the operating room and throughout the institution
