Pharmacy Transporter
Position Summary
The Pharmacy Transporter performs non-patient care functions under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. Duties include but are not limited to : Telephone communication with nursing units, delivering medication to nursing units, filling floor stock orders and performing various computer functions relating to billing, printing labels and reports.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Includes the Following :
- Understands and adheres to the WPH Performance Standards, Policies and Behaviors
- Performs medication delivery on a scheduled basis
- Performs floor stock delivery
- Performs delivery of emergency medication kits as needed
- Pick up returned medication from unit and process accordingly
- Transfer medication upon patient relocation.
- Is accountable for all deliveries made
- Able to organize and care for equipment.
- Integrates safety, patient rights and infection control methods into work practice.
- Utilizes appropriate steps in the decision making process to include recognition and priority setting related to transport and departmental issues. Addresses issues with appropriate actions.
- Participates in Performance Improvement Initiatives
- Attends mandatory in- services .
- Adheres to all WPHC policies and procedures including dress code, code of conduct, customer service, attendance and submission of annual physical
- Collaborates and communicates with the health care team.
- Completes competency requirements.
- Attends staff meetings as required / requested.
- Performs all other related duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements
High school diploma / equivalency required Successful completion of departmental orientation

Salary Range : $39,000.00-$58,488.64 (based on full-time employment)
