Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Lead Patient Care Technician, you'll be a vital member of our nursing team, delivering compassionate, hands-on care that makes a difference in patients' lives. Your role will encompass :

  • Performing all duties associated with the Patient Care Tech role.
  • Involvement in the hiring process through peer interviews.
  • Development of orientation manuals and assisting with the onboarding of new staff.
  • Acting as a positive role model and mentor for peers.
  • Facilitating meetings with new hires at hospital-wide orientations.
  • Precepting new Patient Care Technicians to ensure they understand unit expectations.
  • Promptly communicating new processes, equipment, and policy updates to staff.
  • Leading by example, as evidenced by positive feedback from patients and colleagues.

    • Qualifications

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be acquired within 30 days of employment.
  • Preferred qualifications include CNA, LNA, or EMT / Military Medic training.
  • 2+ years experience in an acute care setting or as a military medic is preferred.
  • 1+ year of experience at an HCA facility is preferred.
