Summary

The Quality Systems Technician plays a key role in supporting the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the site's Quality Management System (QMS). This position ensures compliance with customer, industry, and regulatory requirements, working collaboratively across departments and operational sites to align quality practices and drive standardization.

A key responsibility of this role is supporting training and compliance related to IPC standards, particularly IPC-A-610, which governs the acceptability of electronic assemblies. This includes facilitating site-wide IPC training sessions, maintaining up-to-date certifications, and serving as a subject matter expert on workmanship criteria.

Key Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other tasks may be assigned as needed.

• Serve as the site lead for compliance activities related to :
• Corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
• Customer complaints and product returns
• Internal and external audits
• Nonconforming materials
• Document control and training, including IPC-A-610 training and certification tracking for operators and inspectors
• Act as the site administrator for QMS documentation and electronic systems, ensuring traceability, controlled access, and version accuracy.
• Develop and maintain training materials aligned with IPC-A-610 standards; coordinate initial, refresher, and remedial training sessions as needed.
• Provide compliance guidance and quality training to associates, including hands-on IPC workmanship coaching on the production floor.
• Support the ongoing improvement and maintenance of the site's Quality System in alignment with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements.
• Lead or assist in internal audits and support third-party or customer audits.
• Facilitate and track the timely resolution of quality issues, including preventive action planning and root cause analysis.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement and Lean initiatives to enhance product and process quality.
• Engage in team meetings and cross-functional workgroups with a positive, proactive approach.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment in accordance with regulatory and customer standards.
• On-site attendance is an essential function of this position.
