SAP SCM Lead(Technical)

Location : Eastern Ohio

Experience : Minimum 7 years

Job Type : Permanent

Travel : Hybrid remote, with periodic travel (~2 weeks / month)

Ideal Candidate Should Have

7+ years of hands-on SAP SCM experience with strong expertise in SAP MM , and working knowledge of EWM and TM

2+ full lifecycle SAP S / 4HANA implementations

Proven integration experience with SAP Ariba (SLP, Sourcing, Contracts, Buying & Invoicing)

Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) , inventory , logistics , and vendor management processes

Prior experience in a technical lead role for at least 3 years

Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and mentor developers

Working knowledge of ABAP , Fiori , and performance tuning techniques

Background in utility, logistics, or asset-intensive industries preferred

SAP MM / SCM or Ariba certification highly preferred

Job Description

Thinking Minds’ client is seeking an experienced SAP SCM Technical Lead to design, implement, and optimize SAP Supply Chain Management solutions within a complex landscape powered by SAP S / 4HANA . This leadership role will focus on delivering scalable and integrated supply chain architecture, supporting field operations and utility services.

The successful candidate will lead the technical roadmap and solution governance for critical SCM functions including Procure-to-Pay (P2P) , inventory management , warehouse operations , transportation planning , and vendor lifecycle management . You'll collaborate with business stakeholders, IT teams, and implementation partners to ensure best practices are followed across all deployments.

Key focus areas include integration between S / 4HANA and SAP Ariba , leveraging tools such as SAP BTP / CPI , OData , IDocs , SOAP , and SFTP . Additional integrations will span across modules like FI / CO , EAM / PM , IS-U , and third-party systems (eCatalogs, OEMs, 3PLs).

You will play a pivotal role in technical delivery and quality assurance, leading both internal and external teams across solution design, development, testing, and deployment. Your efforts will ensure a high-performing SCM ecosystem, aligned with utility operations and driving continuous improvement across supply chain activities.
