Who we're looking for :

We are seeking an Assessments and Authorizations (A&A) Specialist to work with system owners in performing security assessment and authorization activities. This role ensures systems comply with established cybersecurity policies and standards while supporting enterprise SOC operations. The A&A Specialist position requires working knowledge of A&A processes, federal security frameworks and the ability to apply technical expertise to moderately complex problems under limited supervision. What you'll be doing :

Support compliance efforts with federal cybersecurity standards and policies.

Conduct security control reviews and assist in developing remediation plans.

Document assessment findings and prepare required A&A documentation.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of security policies and procedures.

Apply technical knowledge to resolve issues of moderate scope and complexity.

Support continuous monitoring activities to ensure ongoing system compliance.

Collaborate with stakeholders to improve A&A processes.

What you need to know :

Working knowledge of the A&A process, including security control assessment and documentation.

Familiarity with federal cybersecurity standards and compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST 800-53, FedRAMP).

Experience supporting system owners through assessment and authorization activities.

Ability to resolve moderately complex technical and compliance issues.

Strong documentation and communication skills.

Must have's :

Bachelor's degree or 3+ additional years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.

3+ years of relevant experience.

Proven ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into clear, actionable tasks and processes through critical thinking.

Applicants must currently hold and maintain an active Secret clearance.
