Progressive Quality Care is growing again with another brand-new, beautiful, hotel-like skilled nursing facility located in Brooklyn, Ohio. We are currently accepting resumes for an energetic and driven Staffing Coordinator to help grow this pristine building. We need someone with a passion for long term care, who wants to help make the Avenue of Brooklyn a household name in the Brooklyn and greater Cleveland community.
Staff Coordinator serves as clerical support to the nursing department and reports to the Director of Nursing.
Requirements :
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work with a team but also with minimal supervision
- Self-starter
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Basic computer skills
- Long-term care experience preferred
- Prior staffing experience is a plus
- Stna or other certification in the nursing field
Duties :
Supports the goals, initiatives, programs and philosophy of the nursing departmentSchedules the STNAs and restorative aides to meet the State and Federal guidelines and the company standard.Adjusts staffing based on PPD to reflect budget complianceMaintains a record of all actual worked schedules per facility policyPosts the schedule every month, for the next month, by the 20thAccepts call-offs and replaces staff as needed on the schedulePrepares daily staffing assignment sheetsMeets with STNA’s as they clock in and make assignment adjustments as neededMaintains attendance records for the STNAs by tracking attendance through on-shift.Keeps track of hours worked throughout the week to help minimize overtimeMaintains an accurate schedule via on-shift, utilize on-shift to assist in the filling of staffing holes, and updates census daily in on-shift.Serves on committees as requestedMaintains strict confidentiality concerning both residents and staffAssists Director of Nursing in identifying and resolving retention issuesCoordinates a training schedule with newly hired STNA’s and ensures they receive proper trainingCommunicates within the nursing department and with other departments in a professional mannerServes as a facility representative at job fairs or other recruitment initiatives as neededPerforms other duties within the scope of training as requested by the Director of Nursing20 hours / week will be dedicated to scheduling and maintaining the scheduleAssist in training new staffMust be available to cover call offs or holes as neededMust collaborate with the co-scheduler, and coordinate time off in order to ensure coverageAny changes must be approved by the DONSchedule transportation and escorts as needed in conjuction with Nursing.
