As a Security Officer - Utilities Lobby Driver in New Albany, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming and secure environment for visitors and employees. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access, verifying credentials, responding to security-related inquiries, and providing outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $16.94 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

Greet visitors, employees, and / or contractors in a professional manner at the front desk of a utilities location, providing assistance as needed.

Monitor access to the facility by verifying identification and / or credentials for individuals entering and exiting the location.

Maintain accurate logs of visitor and / or contractor arrivals and departures, as required by site-specific policies.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, in accordance with Allied Universal procedures and site guidelines.

Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies, including emergency response activities when appropriate.

Communicate clearly with site personnel, visitors, and / or Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and incidents.

Observe and report any unusual activity and / or security-related concerns at or near the front desk area.

What We're Looking For :

Availability across various days and shifts

Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments

A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company

Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

Minimum Requirements :

Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

A minimum of 5 years of security-related experience is required.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
