SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Accountant I position is responsible for managing financial and accounting tasks. This role will assist the Senior Accountant and the Director of Finance with all financial operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
- Preparing Cash Flow Template for CFO to use for Cash Flow Projection report.
- Providing daily cash positions to CEO, CFO, and Director of Finance (DOF).
- Responsibility for all functions of Accounts Payable.
- Cultivating and maintaining relationships with vendors.
- Preparing and posting journal entries to be approved by the DOF (daily, month-end, quarter-end, year-end).
- Reconciling A / R to the G / L.
- Preparing monthly revenue entries for various billing systems based on reports received from the Billing Manager.
- Assisting with month-end closing and preparation of financial presentation to Board of Directors and Finance Committee.
- Assisting in providing monthly Contribution and Grant Income report to Fund Development, tied out to general ledger.
- Assisting in the facilitation of year-end audit work papers, and the preparation of PBCs.
- Prioritizing and completing project work / assignments according to deadlines.
- Communicating professionally in both verbal and written form(s).
- Using sound, professional judgment in decision-making, adding innovation and creativity to work, using detail-oriented approach to complete workload.
- Working independently, with the Finance Team, or the whole organization with assigned projects / duties.
- Protecting confidential and sensitive information.
- Assisting with other accounting, administrative, or company projects as the need arises.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent work experience.3-5 years A / P, A / R or administrative experience.Individual must :

Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.Knowledge of or prior experience working with non-profit organizations, specifically a 501(c)(3).Knowledge of healthcare business.SAGE / Intact and Bills.com experience.Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams etc).Experience & / or knowledge of Alteryx systems.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
