Overview
The Event Security Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of all Event Security Staff and for providing safe and secure service at all PeoplesBank Arena and Pratt & Whitney Stadium events by assisting with planning, monitoring, directing, delegating, and managing all functions of the Event Security Staff.
This role pays an hourly rate of $27.07

Responsibilities
- Direct, train, instruct and oversee the daily performance of the Security Staff, assists the Lead Supervisor with employee issues and discipline
- Assist in conducting pre-shift meetings in a timely manner and assigning staff positions along with reviewing any pertinent information regarding the day's event
- Assist in the setup, breakdown, and operation of walk-through magnetometers and wands
- Enforce facility rules, policies and procedures and report incidents as they occur and coach those employees in violation (performance, attendance, uniform, cellphones, harassment, injury, etc.)
- Make immediate decisions and communicate with Security staff in emergency situations
- Supervises all Security activities for events at the venues to ensure high level of guest satisfaction in all pertinent areas of event experience
- Works cooperatively with all local law enforcement (police, fire, EMT, etc.)
- Work closely with other building staff to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues to ensure effective and professional event management
- Assist in conducting post-event meetings to discuss the event and any incidents that may have occurred
- Complete and submit event recap and incident / injury reports with appropriate documentation in a timely manner
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, requiredValid CT State Guard Card, requiredKnowledge of characteristics of events, including crowd management and control techniques and must have the ability to anticipate needs, assess situations and act accordinglyPrinciples and practices of effective security and employee supervision in an arena settingMust have the ability to work flexible schedule including long nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays as neededSelf-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to function independently as well as part of a team and make management decisions in a fast-paced high-pressure environment, while remaining calm and flexible in times of stressProven exceptional guest and client service capabilities and exercise sound judgement to diffuse volatile situationsKnowledge and skill in effective radio communicationJ-18808-Ljbffr
