Senior Platform Engineer

We are hiring a Senior Platform Engineer on behalf of our client – a fast-paced, innovation-driven company based in New York with a startup mindset. This is a hybrid position requiring at least three days per week on-site in NYC.

This is not a managerial role, but we are looking for a highly capable, self-motivated individual who can independently prioritize, execute, and deliver results. The ideal candidate is reliable, calm under pressure, mindful, demonstrate urgency , and be available in emergency situations (24 / 7)

Key Responsibilities :

• Own and manage CI / CD processes with Azure DevOps : Setup, optimize, and troubleshoot workflows and pipelines.
• Work fluently in AWS : Confident in managing and optimizing AWS services, with a particular focus on Lambda cost-efficiency and strategic use of newer features.
• Ensure observability and operational excellence : Use Datadog to set up monitoring, alerting, and performance dashboards. Proactively identify and escalate critical issues and their impact – even up to the CEO level.
• Collaborate across teams with a startup-level understanding of urgency, autonomy, and accountability.
• Uphold high standards of system reliability, security, and performance.
