Senior Facilities Manager

As the Sr. Facilities Manager for our Los Angeles operations, you will be the driving force behind the safety, functionality, and optimization of our engineering and manufacturing facilities. This is not a purely desk-based roleyou will balance strategic facilities planning with direct, hands-on engagement in operations. You will lead the expansion and improvement of our LA footprint while ensuring our buildings and infrastructure are prepared to support advanced aerospace research, manufacturing, and testing.

The ideal candidate brings deep aerospace or high-tech manufacturing experience, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to make informed decisions quickly. You will collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, safety, and operations teams to ensure every aspect of our facilities supports our mission to redefine the speed of air travel.

Responsibilities :

• Strategic Facilities Leadership - Develop and execute a multi-year facilities strategy aligned with company growth objectives, operational needs, and aerospace industry requirements. Translate executive vision into actionable infrastructure projects, balancing innovation with cost control and operational reliability.
• Facilities Planning & Design - Partner with architects, engineers, and internal stakeholders to design aerospace engineering and manufacturing spaces that meet safety, efficiency, and workflow standards. Ensure that layouts maximize productivity, enable safe handling of aerospace components, and allow for future scalability.
• Construction & Capital Projects - Oversee new construction, facility modifications, and major renovations from concept to completion. Lead contractor selection, bid reviews, and performance oversight, ensuring projects stay on budget, on schedule, and in compliance with codes and aerospace standards.
• Equipment & Infrastructure Management - Implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs to ensure maximum uptime for critical systems. Manage utilities infrastructure (electrical, HVAC, compressed air, process gases, plumbing) to ensure operational stability and cost efficiency.
• Safety, Compliance & Risk Management - Ensure full compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, AS9100, ISO 14001, and other relevant standards. Lead regular facility inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations. Partner with EH&S to develop robust emergency response and business continuity plans for facility disruptions or critical incidents.
• Operational Optimization - Conduct space utilization analysis and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workflow, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency. Lead sustainability initiatives, including waste diversion, recycling, energy optimization, and environmentally responsible design.
• Vendor & Contract Management - Negotiate, manage, and monitor vendor agreements for maintenance, construction, and technical services. Establish performance metrics to ensure vendor accountability and high service quality.
• Leadership & Team Development - Lead and mentor a high-performing facilities team, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and problem-solving. Promote cross-functional teamwork between facilities, manufacturing, engineering, and executive leadership.

$114,000 - $162,750 a year
