MSIM Legal Ops Officer

MSIM's Legal team works closely with our business partners to provide well-reasoned, concise legal, regulatory, and strategic advice on current, proposed or anticipated business activities of MSIM across its equities, fixed income & liquidity, alternative investments and solutions & multi-assets business to execute business objectives while managing legal, regulatory and franchise risks. MSIM lawyers are proud of their reputation as problem solvers who collaborate across areas and regions to deliver powerful results. The MSIM Legal Ops Officer works closely with the MSIM GC and Deputy GC in driving the day-to-day operations of the MSIM Legal department. This position collaborates with senior leadership to implement business transformation, maintain operational standards, and support an inclusive workplace culture. Experience in a senior operational or COO position within a legal, compliance, or financial services context. Proficient leadership, organizational, and people management skills. Demonstrated capability in transformation initiatives, project management, and results delivery in a matrixed environment. Effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing abilities. Analytical skills with experience in financial and resource management. The COO role involves proactive delivery and balancing strategic objectives with operational responsibilities. Duties may expand according to evolving needs, potentially including international coordination and additional support for new business areas.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $120,000 and $205,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
