We are a thriving and well regarded estate planning and administration law firm in Jamestown, Rhode Island. We seek a candidate with the demonstrated ability to manage a client relationship through these stages :

2. Design estate plan.
3. Draft or oversee the drafting of required documents.
4. Funding of estate plan.
5. Collection of fees.
The appropriate candidate would be aware of the core competencies required to fill this position. Candidates who have been trained in a large firm with an established and regionally recognized T&E department but feel they are being crushed by the billable hour demands of a general practice firm are strongly urged to apply. Candidates with no demontrated hands-on estate planning or estate administration experience are discouraged from applying. Candidates with a similar hands-on estate adminisration background, but no estate planning experience may be considered. This position is being offered to a lawyer who has the skills and interest in continuing and building upon our client relationships, who would in time wish to manage the firm in the future.
A base salary will be paid, but the primary pay package will be based on a revenue share to be discussed at the time of interview. The formula for the revenue share, if applied to average annual earnings over the last several years would equate to $150,000+ each year. Our firm is fortunate to currently have no need to grow further, so although portable clients would be welcome, they are not expected. The hourly expectations are flexible and would be addressed by the revenue share formula. Candidates with work / life balance expectations and strong commitments to family obligations are warmly encouraged to apply.
This position will be at the core of our our own professional succession plan and would enable the qualified candidate to take over, in time, a very successful, lucrative and sophisticated practice in the center of a very welcoming and charming small island community.
