Job Title : Forklift Operator

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for loading and unloading freight to and from vehicles and containers. You will sort freight according to size and destination, read and decode freight coding, and reconcile driver pick-up and delivery manifests. Additionally, you will label, weigh, and dimensionalize freight, perform cleanup activities to maintain a safe and clean dock, and record any damaged shipments or misrouted freight.

Responsibilities :

  • Load inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers.
  • Unload inbound and outbound containers and sort according to size and destination.
  • Read, decode, and decipher freight coding to expedite freight movement and tracing.
  • Reconcile driver pick-up and delivery manifests.
  • Label, weigh, and dimensionalize freight.
  • Perform cleanup activities in the work area to ensure safety and cleanliness of the dock.
  • Record damaged shipments and misrouted freight on applicable reports.

    Work Environment :

    Work in a modern facility with multiple shift options : Sun-Wed 1st shift 6 : 00am-4 : 30pm, 2nd shift 4 : 00pm-2 : 30am, 3rd shift 10 : 00pm-8 : 30am; Wed-Sat 1st shift 6 : 00am-4 : 30pm, 2nd shift 4 : 00pm-2 : 30am, 3rd shift 10 : 00pm-8 : 30am; Fri-Mon 6 : 00am-6 : 30pm. The work environment emphasizes safety and cleanliness.

    Job Type & Location :

    This is a Contract position based out of Independence, Kentucky.

    Pay and Benefits :

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00 / hr.
