Registered Nurse Preop PACU Ambulatory Surgery Center

What We Offer : Schedule : PRN. This PRN position does not have a set schedule or guaranteed hours but the center is looking for someone ideally with Tuesday / Wednesday availability to help pick up on their busy days. Pre / post hours range from a start time between 5 : 30A-7 : 30A & leaving between 2-4PM, will be discussed further during interview. This center is closed on weekends and major holidays, no call required. Department : Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) and pre-op. Employee will be cross trained to each phase of care. Requirements : Either prior PACU, pre-op, ICU, ED or Critical Care or experience is preferred but willing to train the right candidate. Strong IV skills required for this position. Location : 7210 Village Medical Circle, Clemmons, North Carolina Information : This is an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), there are 3 OR's and a total of 16 pre / post bays. Procedures range. What We're Looking For : Education : 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Experience : One year of ASC, PACU or operating room experience, preferred. Licensure / Certification : Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. ACLS and PALS, preferred. Additional Skills (required) : Must have a thorough understanding of role of RN and ability to carry out the functions as stated in the NC nurse practice act. Ability to set priorities and organize workload of unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient’s age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his / her age specific needs. Proficient in telephone screening and interviewing skills.
