Take flight in your career with Banner Health by applying for this innovative leadership position where you will be overseeing operations and relationships at our Boulder, CO Flight Base located at 4801 Riverbend, Boulder, CO or our Greeley, CO base at North Colorado Medical Center . . You'll over 8 flight clinicians while overseeing day to day base operations as well as be a liaison between the base and our local partners. You'll work 48hr / wk (24hr shifts), including weekends, and holidays.
We are open to both Paramedics and RNs.
Position Summary
This position plans and provides clinical support to patients and staff. Demonstrates clinical expertise of the assigned area. Provides leadership in clinical, financial, and personnel management within the department.
Core Functions
Minimum Qualifications
Must possess a strong knowledge and understanding of nursing and healthcare as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor's degree in nursing.
Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary / interim RN license in state of practice, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice. BLS certification is required. Additional certification or continuing education may be required based on area of practice.
Three years’ experience in relevant medical field (ICU / PICU / Emergency Department / Transport Medicine).
Demonstrates knowledge and skills of specialty area. Requires critical thinking, communication, influence, decision-making, analytical, and flexibility skills to make optimal decisions based on multiple variables and desired outcomes. Requires the ability to balance clinical skills with supervisory authority. Must have the ability to consider the ultimate impact of decisions on the unit. Must have the ability to practice skills according to department and professional standards and quality requirements. Requires New Leader Experience certification within one year.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in emergency medical flight service.
Prior personnel supervisory experience.
Additional Related Education And / or Experience Preferred.
