Paula Teacher & Associates, Inc. is seeking a part-time Behavior Specialist to provide ODP Behavioral Services in Greensburg and the surrounding areas. The Behavior Specialist will support individuals with intellectual disabilities (ID) by conducting Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA), developing Positive Behavioral Support Plans (BSP), and training staff on implementation. This role requires strong documentation, collaboration, and planning skills, and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Responsibilities :
Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) and Positive Behavior Support Plans (BSP)
Submit assessments and BSPs within required timelines
Observe individuals in various settings and meet with key team members (DSPs, Program Coordinators, families)
Train staff on BSP implementation, including data collection and crisis plans
Supervise and support program staff and review data regularly
Maintain required documentation including progress notes, quarterly reports, and plan updates
Attend team meetings as needed
Comply with all Human Rights protocols for restrictive procedures
Requirements :
Master's degree in a human services field with 2 years of experience with individuals with ID OR
PA Behavior Specialist License OR
Bachelor's degree with 3–5 years' experience and supervision by a Master's level or licensed BSC
Completion of ODP-required trainings (FBA, Positive Approaches, ODP Orientation) or willingness to complete them
Excellent communication skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Able to work independently and collaboratively
Physical and TB test required if working in PTA licensed settings (Res or ATF)
Compensation :
$25–$27 / hour (Bachelor's degree)
$30–$37 / hour (Master's degree)
