Commercial Track Teammate (1st Shift)

Basic Job Functions Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. The Position : Commercial Track teammates fabricate, manufacture, and assemble garage door tracks for C.H.I. doors. This can include the use of forklifts, hand / power tools, carts, racks, and other industrial equipment. This can also include the manufacturing, assembly and support of the production of C.H.I. products such as doors, door assemblies, or other support components. Commercial Track Teammates must be able to work well in a team environment. This is a heavy lifting position. Related Job Duties : Read production paperwork and performs work as assigned by the department supervisor. Read and comprehend diagrams or spec sheets for custom commercial overhead door track assembly & installation. Use measuring devices to accurately measure components (1 / 16" tolerance) to be assembled Assemble materials to produce garage doors and / or assemblies. Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages and include correct shipping documents. Pack finished goods for shipment. Notify the supervisor of any mechanical or material issues. Place finished goods in the proper area and / or trailer for shipment. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Maintain production standards without compromising quality. Other reasonably related duties as assigned. Compensation Base Rate : $18.84-19.91 / hour + Weekly Production Bonus Example : Hourly Base Rate = 19.24 Weekly Production Bonus = 55%. Total Hourly Rate = 29.82 Production Bonus Production Bonus percentage is variable, determinate upon attaining production goals each week. Production Bonus is paid out weekly. Profit-Sharing 10% of Nucor’s pre-tax earnings are contributed to the Profit Sharing Plan annually and distributed to all eligible teammates. A large portion is deposited into your profit-sharing account, and a smaller portion is distributed in cash. Current 6-year average = 19.88% of your eligible earnings. Minimum Qualifications : 1 year previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or construction Preferred Qualifications : 2 years previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or construction Knowledge or experience in the roofing industry
