ROLE : IT Security Engineer

REQUIRED :

Minimum Active Clearance : Current Secret (possibility for TS)

Minimum Education : Bachelors Degree

Minimum Experience : 5 Years directly relevant, demonstrable expertise supporting Federal programs of similar scope and scale

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES :

Provides overall task order leadership, oversees QA and deliverable quality, and coordinates with J4 on laptop issuance and return accountability. Senior strategist supporting operational planning, JPP processes, and cyber campaign development.Ensures the seamless integration of IT programs and services, developing solutions to address integration and interoperability challenges. Designs, develops, and manages IT security systems that meet both current and future business needs, optimizing and enhancing the existing architecture. Manages assigned IT projects, effectively communicating complex technical requirements to non-technical personnel, and prepares and presents briefings to senior cybersecurity officials on complex or controversial issues. Leads IT security systems development projects from design through support, evaluating the effectiveness of installed systems and services, and providing expert advice on a wide range of IT issues. Oversees the implementation of security programs designed to anticipate, assess, and mitigate system vulnerabilities, coordinating security efforts across multiple platforms (Tier I, II, and III) and establishing vulnerability reporting criteria. Reviews proposed new systems, networks, and software designs for potential security risks, recommending mitigation strategies or countermeasures, and resolving integration issues related to the implementation of new systems within the existing infrastructure. Provides authoritative advice to other specialists in disaster recovery, business continuity, and operating systems security, and develops and implements agency-wide guidelines.
