• Join an Experienced Team :  Become part of our thriving team of over 70 Hospitalists and 10 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), all dedicated to providing exceptional 24 / 7 in-house care. Our team is known for its collegial atmosphere and commitment to excellence in patient care.
• Efficient, Patient-Centered Care : Engage in geographic rounding with equal patient distribution among all rounding teams. Our soft census cap helps manage workload, allowing you to focus more on patient care and less on volume.
• Supportive Infrastructure :  You will work in a closed ICU with no procedures required, freeing you to concentrate on patient management. You will also benefit from dedicated Day and Evening admitting teams and a Triage Team that handles all calls from the ER and Transfer Center, enabling you to spend more quality time with your patients.
• Comprehensive Care Leadership :  As a Hospitalist, you’ll lead the charge in managing Rapid Response, Stroke Alerts, Sepsis Alerts, and Behavior Assist calls, working closely with Internal Medicine resident teams. The CCU team handles Code Blue / Code 99 / Adult medical codes requiring ACLS, ensuring comprehensive support across the care spectrum.
• Mentorship and Leadership :  Thrive in a collaborative environment that prioritizes mentorship. Our experienced Hospitalists are committed to guiding new career hospitalists, ensuring a smooth transition into practice, and setting you up for long-term success as a Hospitalist.
• Mentorship and Education :  Take advantage of opportunities to teach and mentor Internal and Family Medicine residents and medical students, shaping the future of healthcare. Additionally, explore academic and research affiliations with the Carle Illinois College of Medicine, the nation’s first medical school at the intersection of healthcare and engineering.
• Candidates must be able to start in 2025.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $1,600 - $2,600 / shift. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
