ADMINISTRATOR, DATABASE (I / T)

This position will report to our Nashville office.

This position will pay $87,900 - $109,800

SUMMARY :

The Administrator, Database is responsible for the database component of the delivery of business-critical software applications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

The incumbent should be able to perform all of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements.

Creates and maintains database, table structures and triggers for application software. Tunes databases to achieve maximum performance.

Repairs problems in databases used in application software.

Reviews and tests application software and makes suggestions for improvement. Collaborates intensely with hardware, network and applications administrators and developers.

Conducts troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving for database performance and stability issues.

Creates policies and procedures for database access and usage and database replication and backup. Overall responsible for data security and integrity in assigned databases.

Ensures data governance, security compliance, and best practices within hybrid multi-cloud infrastructures (Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, and private data centers).

Manages problem and request tickets for assigned technology.

Ensures availability of supported technology.

Domestic U.S. travel may be required.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is required.

Two years of experience with Oracle and MSSQL database administration is required. Additional years of related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis up to two years.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
