Job Title : Cloud Architect

Location : Dallas, TX – Remote

Duration : 6+ Months contract (10 / 20 / 2025 to 04 / 30 / 2026)

Primary Skill Required for the Role : Cloud Solution Architect- GCP

Level Required for Primary Skill : Intermediate (3-5 years experience)

The services You will provide the client project team : As a Cloud Architect Contractor, you will support the project team by designing and implementing cloud solutions that align with business and technical requirements. Develop cloud architecture strategies and plans, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements. Design and implement cloud infrastructure, including network design, security configurations, and cloud services. Evaluate and select appropriate cloud technologies and tools to meet project needs. Provide technical guidance and support to development teams during the implementation of cloud solutions. Ensure compliance with best practices and standards for cloud security, performance, and cost optimization.

Job Description :

Core Responsibilities

• Platform Management : Install, configure, and upgrade HVR (now Fivetran HVR) software, including the Hub, agents (HVAs), and associated components, across source and target systems.
• Connection & Replication Setup : Establish and manage data source connections for diverse databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, SAP HANA, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and cloud platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift). Configure robust replication channels, defining source / target locations, selecting tables, and setting up data transformations.
• Performance Optimization : Fine-tune HVR configurations to maximize data replication performance, including adjusting batch sizes, parallelization, and network settings. Proactively identify and address system capacity bottlenecks (e.g., storage, CPU, memory, network bandwidth) by recommending improvements.
• High-Volume CDC Implementation : Develop and execute strategies for high-volume data replication and efficient log-based Change Data Capture (CDC).
• Operational Health : Ensure HVR agents are running optimally and maintaining reliable connectivity to all source and target endpoints.

Pay rate : $56-$61.39 / hr depending on experience
