Call Center Representative :

Full Time

$16-$18 Hourly

Non-Exempt

Apex Skin Call Center Representatives are responsible for answering incoming phone calls, collecting patient information, scheduling appointments, and keeping records. The ideal candidate can work as a team member, is well-organized with attention to detail, and is personable. We have full-time and part-time positions available. This is a fully remote position.

Qualifications

  • Strong Customer Service Skills
  • Experience with Medical scheduling software preferred
  • Experience working in a Call Center preferred
  • One year’s experience in medical insurance coding or record-keeping preferred

Essential Functions

  • Complete and accurate appointment scheduling, pre-registration, eligibility screening, insurance verification, pre-authorization, and taking payments
  • Obtain, record, and update PHI and financial information accurately.
  • Verify insurance using Optum / Availity / EMR IE verification process.
  • May be required to travel to other locations due to staffing needs.
  • Receive inbound phone calls for clinic appointments from patients
  • Transmit correspondence or medical records appropriately
  • Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting and viewing computer screens
  • Required to lift moderate weights (10-15 pounds)
  • Vision abilities including distance vision, and the ability to adjust and focus.
  • Frequent speaking and hearing.

  • CC and phone will be supplied by the company for use during employment
  • Must have high-speed Wi-Fi or wired ethernet connection.
  • Designated workspace that is quiet and distraction-free during your work shift
