What you have to do as a Custodian / Janitor :

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and other objects
• Clean, monitor and maintain restrooms, fitting rooms, corridors, and store entrance areas
• Empty trash cans for proper disposal; use of compactor for certain materials
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using appropriate cleaners and equipment
• Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extractions and shampooing
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Follow housekeeping schedule
• Occasionally use heavy cleaning equipment, such as floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums, and buffers.
• Other duties as assigned, as required by the scope of work or customer needs.

Who you have to be in order to be successful as a Custodian / Janitor :

At least 18 years of age or older

Reliable

Authorized to work in the United States

Able to successfully pass a drug test in some situations required

Some prior cleaning experience is a good thing!

Position details :

Part Time

10 Hours total

Saturday and Sunday

Up to $13.50 per hour

I am looking for someone to cover Saturday and Sunday shift's at Home Depot in Mount Pleasant MI. Each shift is 5 hour long. Saturday shift start between the hour's of 5 or 6 am and Sunday start at 7 am. Are daily responsibilities are cleaning the restrooms, break room, training room, vacuum entrance carpet, emptying the entrance trash, and running a walk behind floor scrubber for a hour and fifteen minutes each day per the scrubbing schedule. If you have any experience running a floor scrubber is helpful but will train.

If you have experience running a floor scrubber I may pay more an hour.
