Cloud Windows Systems Engineer Long-Term Contract (On-Site in Solon, OH) (Hiring Immediately)

Our client is seeking an experienced Windows Systems Engineer to join their Core Infrastructure team on a long-term contract . This role supports both on-prem and cloud environments and plays a key part in driving reliability, security, and performance across enterprise systems.

Based in Solon, OH (eastern suburb of Cleveland), this position requires working 100% on-site . Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorship is available.

Youll collaborate with peer technical teams under the Infrastructure Director and Technical Team Leader, taking ownership of system design, implementation, and optimization projects. Its an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and solving complex infrastructure challenges.

What Youll Do :

Manage and support Windows desktop and server environments

Configure and maintain SQL, IIS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, PKI, and Group Policy

Oversee on-prem and cloud storage systems (backup, monitoring, configuration)

Work with virtualization tools (Nutanix preferred)

Manage endpoints through SCCM, Intune, and Azure Arc

Support IaaS / PaaS across Azure and AWS

Apply security frameworks such as NIST and DISM

Handle cloud networking, including VPN, VNet, subnetting, and firewalls

Preferred Experience :

Nutanix (AOS / AHV / NUS)

Veeam Backup & Recovery (cloud or on-prem)

Meraki, HPE Aruba / Orchestrator, or similar SD-WAN platforms
