Description :

This position is for a Registered Nurse specialized in Telemetry.

The unit has 36 beds with a patient ratio of 4 : 1 with catheter recovery, and a maximum ratio of 6 : 1, which may stretch to 7 : 1 at times.

There is staffing support available, including patient care technicians on both day and night shifts and unit clerks on day shifts.

The unit utilizes remote telemetry monitors and Alaris pumps for patient care.

Documentation is conducted through a Meditech system.

Scheduling requires every other weekend availability, with floating policies in place for agency staff.

Patient experience is a priority, with a goal of achieving a 75% satisfaction rate.

Required skills include telemetry experience, along with advanced knowledge in specific procedures such as chest tube insertions, bedside paracentesis, and thoracentesis.

Dress code mandates any scrubs except for camouflage.

Unit guidelines include specific policies related to telemetry monitoring and stroke management.

The department recognizes staff achievements with awards such as the Daisy and Bee awards, along with a monthly STAR award voted on by staff members.
